This Privacy Policy explains how Gobaith Technologies (“we,” “our,” or “us”)
collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the
AI Business Card Scanner mobile application (“App”).
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide the App’s features.
Information You Provide
- Business card images captured using your camera or selected from your gallery.
- Contact information extracted from scanned cards or entered manually, including names, job titles, companies, phone numbers, email addresses, websites, addresses, and custom fields.
- Your personal digital business card (“My Card”) and design preferences.
- Categories, notes, and follow-up reminders you create.
Account Information
If you sign in using Google for cloud backup, we receive:
- Email address
- Display name
- Profile photo
- Firebase Authentication user ID
Automatically Collected Information
- App settings and preferences.
- Monthly scan count.
- Basic app usage statistics.
- Advertising identifiers used by supported advertising services.
2. AI Scanning and Image Processing
The App uses artificial intelligence (AI) to recognize and extract information
from business card images.
- Images are securely transmitted over HTTPS to Google’s Generative Language API for processing.
- Images are used only to extract contact information.
- We do not store scanned card images on our servers.
- Processing is handled by Google’s infrastructure under its own privacy and security policies.
- AI-generated results may not always be accurate. You should review and edit extracted information before saving.
- A copy of each scanned image remains only on your device for future reference.
- Business card images are never included in cloud backups.
- An internet connection is required for AI scanning.
- You can use the App without signing in.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Scan and recognize business cards.
- Save and organize contacts.
- Create and manage digital business cards.
- Generate QR codes and vCards.
- Export contacts as CSV or PDF.
- Provide cloud backup and restore for Pro users.
- Manage subscription status.
- Send optional reminder notifications.
- Display advertisements to free users.
- Improve reliability, performance, and security.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Local Storage and Cloud Backup
Local Storage
By default, all contacts, scanned images, settings, AI results, and scan history
remain stored locally on your device.
Your local data remains until you delete it, clear the app’s storage,
or uninstall the App.
Cloud Backup
Cloud backup is available only to signed-in Pro users.
If enabled, only your contact information and My Cards are backed up to
Google Cloud Firestore.
Business card images remain stored only on your device and are never uploaded.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Google Generative Language API (AI scanning)
- Firebase Authentication
- Google Cloud Firestore
- Google Play Billing
- RevenueCat
- Google AdMob
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
6. Advertising
Free users may see advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Advertising services may use advertising identifiers and limited device
information to deliver and measure ads.
Where required by law, we request your consent before displaying
personalized advertisements.
Pro subscribers do not see advertisements.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Pro subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing and managed by
RevenueCat.
We never receive or store your payment card information.
Only your subscription status is shared with us to unlock Pro features.
8. Permissions
- Camera – Scan business cards.
- Photos & Storage – Import card images and save exported files.
- Internet – AI scanning, cloud backup, subscriptions, and advertisements.
- Notifications – Follow-up reminders that you choose to enable.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
Information is shared only with the services necessary to provide App
features, comply with legal requirements, or protect users and our services.
10. Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until deleted.
- Cloud backup data remains until you remove it or request deletion.
- Scanned images are never retained on our servers.
11. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted HTTPS
connections and authenticated access to cloud data.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure,
and therefore absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
12. Your Rights
You can:
- Edit or delete contacts at any time.
- Disable cloud backup.
- Sign out of your account.
- Manage advertising consent.
- Request access to or deletion of your data.
13. Account and Data Deletion
You may delete contacts directly within the App.

14. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age
required by your country).
We do not knowingly collect information from children.
15. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed on servers operated by our third-party
providers, including Google, which may be located outside your country.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
Changes become effective once the updated version is published with a revised
“Last Updated” date.
