AI Business Card Scanner · Gobaith Technologies
Last updated: 10 August 2026
This policy explains what AI Business Card Scanner does with your information. The app is published by Gobaith Technologies (package name com.gobaithtech.bussinesscardscanner.pro). If anything here is unclear, email mk021375@gmail.com and we will answer.
The short version
The app works without an account and without giving us anything about you. When you scan a card, the photo is sent to our server to be read, and is not kept. Everything the app produces — your contacts, card photos and your own cards — stays on your phone unless you choose to sign in and turn on backup. If you do, that data is copied to our server, encrypted, and you can delete all of it at any time.
1. Scanning a card
When you scan a business card, the photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our server at gobaithtechnologies.com, which passes it to Google Gemini to read the text. This is what lets the app read cards in Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese and other scripts, and label the fields correctly.
The photo is used to read the card and is then discarded. We do not store scanned card photos on our server as part of scanning, and we do not use them to train anything.
If your phone has no internet connection, the app falls back to reading the card on the device itself using Google ML Kit. That works offline but can only read Latin script.
Google processes the image as our service provider. Google’s handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
2. Using the app without an account
You do not need an account. Without one:
Your contacts, the card photos you save, your own digital cards, your settings and your scan history are stored only on your phone.
The app creates a random installation identifier the first time it runs. It is a random string, it contains nothing about you, and it exists so the free monthly scan allowance can be counted. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number or Google account.
3. If you sign in (optional)
Signing in exists for one reason: so you can get your contacts back on a new phone. It is entirely optional and everything else in the app works without it.
To sign in you enter your email address and we email you a six-digit code. There is no password. We store your email address so the account can be found again.
Once signed in, and after you accept the in-app consent screen, the following is copied to our server: your saved contacts (names, job titles, companies, phone numbers, email addresses, notes and tags), the card photos attached to them, and your own digital cards.
Contact details are encrypted on our server using AES-256-GCM. The key is held outside the database, so a copy of the database on its own cannot be read.
You can also take a backup — a snapshot you can return to later — and restore it whenever you want.
We are aware that scanned contacts are other people’s personal information. We do not sell it, share it, publish it, or use it for any purpose other than storing it for you and giving it back to you.
4. Advertising
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob collects your device’s Advertising ID and diagnostic information, and may use it for personalised advertising. Where consent is legally required, the app asks before any ad loads, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings under “Manage Privacy Settings”.
Pro subscribers see no ads.
Google AdMob’s use of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Subscriptions
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active; RevenueCat receives a purchase token from Google Play and an anonymous identifier, not your name or email.
6. What we collect, in plain terms
Email address — only if you choose to sign in. Used to identify your account and send login codes.
Contacts and card photos — only if you sign in and turn on backup. Stored encrypted so you can restore them.
Card photo during a scan — sent to be read, not kept.
A random installation identifier — always. Contains nothing about you; used to count the free scan allowance.
Advertising ID and diagnostics — collected by Google AdMob in the free version.
Purchase status — from Google Play, through RevenueCat.
We do not collect your location, your phone’s contact list, your browsing activity, or your Google account details.
7. How long we keep it
Card photos sent for scanning are not retained.
If you have an account, your data stays until you delete it. Deleting your account removes it immediately and permanently.
Data stored only on your phone stays until you delete it, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app.
8. Deleting your data
Inside the app: Settings, then Backup, then Delete Account. This permanently erases your account, your synced contacts, your backup and your card photos from our server. It cannot be undone.
On the web: visit https://gobaithtechnologies.com/bcsh-delete-account/ to request deletion, which you can do even if you have already uninstalled the app.
By email: write to mk021375@gmail.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request”, from the address you signed in with.
Deleting your account does not remove the contacts stored on your phone. To remove those, use Settings, then Clear All Contacts, or uninstall the app.
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because subscriptions are handled by Google Play. Cancel those in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions.
9. Security
Everything sent between the app and our server travels over HTTPS. Contact details stored on our server are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and the key is kept outside the database. Android’s cloud backup is disabled for this app, so your local data cannot be pulled off the device by a backup tool.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If you ever believe your account has been misused, email us and we will invalidate it.
10. If you do not use backup
Then nothing you scan is stored on our server at all, and there is nothing for us to delete. Please note that in this case there is also no copy anywhere: if you lose the phone or uninstall the app, those contacts are gone. Exporting to CSV or PDF from Settings is worth doing if that matters to you.
11. Children
The app is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required where you live. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
